Aparna Sen , the winner of the National Awards for best direction and best script this year for Mr and Mrs. Iyer , was feted last month at the closing ceremony of the Asian Film Festival in Bombay .
Addressing a press conference later, Aparna announced that her next film would be in Hindi, titled Gulel and will be based on the life of a convict.
The film will star Ajay Devgan , Saif Ali Khan , Bipasha Basu , Kareena Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar.
Gulel will be released during the latter part of year 2004.
